Dr MA Jaleel – Chairman
Dr Abdul Jaleel retired as Assistant Director in the department of Animal Husbandry in government of Andhra Pradesh.
- Sri K Ramakrishna Rao
Sri Ramakrishna Rao is a CEO of Indu group based inHyderabad. Mr Ramakrishna Rao is a ex-IAS officer who worked as a district collector for Adilabad andGunturdistricts. He has ample of procedural knowledge and experience and is a key figure in the management of the trust.
- Dr T Venu Gopala Rao
Dr Venu Gopala Rao is currently working as a Registrar at Dr NTR University of Medical Sciences inVijayawada, AP. He is basically trained as an Anaesthetist and a receiver of Thummala Ramabrahmam award by GMCANA,Guntur.
- Sri G Muralidhar
Sri Muralidhar is the chief mentor of a large NGO called ‘Akshara Network’ based inHyderabad. He completed his MBA in rural management in IRMA Anand.

Sri Brahmananda Reddy works as a Deputy Chief Mechanical Engineer in APSRTC. He provides the networking support for the organisation in terms of local resources.

Dr Hamid worked as a consultant in paediatric disabilities in theUnited Kingdom. He moved to Hyderabad, India in 2006 and offered his voluntary services to Sweekar organisation in Secunderabad.

Hamlet GIP trust Board of Trustees
Professor Peter Tyrer
Peter Tyrer is the current chair of Hamlet GIP trust. He is the head of the department and Professor of Community Psychiatry at Imperial College, London and has been since 1991. He is also editor of the British Journal of Psychiatry and is committed to improving the knowledge base of mental health in lower middle income countries, and is involve in various initiatives to promote this. He is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and of the Academy of Medical Sciences in addition to being a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatry.
Dr Peter Barham
Dr Peter Barham founded the Hamlet Trust in 1988 and served as chair for a number of years. He is a Chartered Psychologist, a Fellow of the British Psychological Society and an historian of mental health with a PhD in psychology from Durham University and a PhD in history from Cambridge. Currently, he is a Research Associate at the Wellcome Unit for the History of Medicine, Oxford University.
Dr Jed Boardman PhD FRCPsych
Jed Boardman is a Consultant in and Senior Lecturer in Social Psychiatry at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust and King’s College London. He has had a keen interest in the development of mental health policy and is Senior Policy Advisor to the Sainsbury Centre for Mental Health. He has played a leading role in general adult psychiatry at the Royal College of Psychiatrists, where he is currently the lead for social inclusion.
Catherine Oppenheimer was consultant in the psychiatry of old age in Oxfordshire from 1984 to 2009. From 1998 to 2003 she was medical director of the Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Mental Healthcare Partnership NHS Trust. She is a fellow of Royal College of Psychiatrists. From 1992 onwards, together with her colleague Professor Robin Jacoby and with the support of the Global Initiative on Psychiatry, she led Russian-speaking seminars in various countries of the former Soviet Union, introducing the principles of community-based, patient- and family-centred services for older people with mental illness. From 1991 she was co-editor of the Oxford Textbook of Old Age Psychiatry, now in its 4th edition.
Peter Marshall is Vice Principal Finance and Resources for a Further Education College. He is a qualified accountant and acts as Treasurer for Hamlet-GIP. He has been a Trustee since 2002.
Sandra O’Sullivan, is the manager of the North London Hub of the Mental Health Research Network which supports large-scale, high quality research in mental health and social care in the NHS, the results of which inform policy and practice. Sandra has worked in mental health research alongside Professor Peter Tyrer for more than 10 years and joined the board of Trustees in early 2009.
